Lavell Edwards stadium

The stadium was extended in 1982 to oblige more than 65,000; lasting solid stands at last zones, isolated by doors from the east and west grandstands, were set up of the transitory cheap seats. The playing field was brought down eight feet, and the running track was expelled to prepare for six extra pushes.

LaVell Edwards (1930–2016) was the lead trainer at BYU for 29 seasons, gone before by ten years as an aide. He resigned after the 2000 season and the stadium was before long renamed in his respect.

The stadium was remodeled in 2003 to give extra extravagance seating, which decreased the ability to 64,045. The extravagance seating was a recognizable expansion on the grounds that the plan of blue and white seats in this segment explains BYU in square letters.
